Blogging Resources All Bloggers Need

Blogging would have been much more difficult without the resources I had to help me. Whether it was the technicalities of writing a blog post or designing an awesome pin, I have to credit my work to some amazing tools. Below I’ve listed the blogging resources all bloggers need as part of their portfolio.

Blogging Platform

WordPress was made for blogging, which is why it’s the platform of choice for a majority of bloggers.

Web Hosting

As I’ve mentioned in my guide on How to Start a Blog and Make Money (As a New Blogger), SiteGround is one of the best hosting services you can own. They offer live 24/7 support via chat or phone, and their plans are really affordable.

Before Canva, I was designing my pins in Photoshop. I’ll tell you right now. I’m no graphic designer. Designing from scratch took hours (it was a pain!) and my finished pins would end up looking pixelated and amateurish.

I made the switch to Canva and never looked back. Canva offers a variety of free templates that made designing a breeze. I particularly love using their infographic templates 🙂

Blog Themes

Elegant Themes has all-inclusive Divi themes that you can personalize to fit your blog. It’s the one-stop shop for all your theme needs.

Pinterest Scheduling Apps

Pinterest scheduling apps take the stress of manual pinning of your shoulders and allow you to focus on other important aspects of your blog, like building an email list!

Email Marketing

An email list helps to build a relationship with readers and keeps them updated on new posts. ConvertKit has a ton of great styles and designs for lead magnets and subscription boxes that readily embed within your blog.

Tools for Writing Blog Posts

Ensure your titles are capitalized correctly with this easy-to-use tool.

Grammarly has made proofreading my blog posts extremely effortless. The Chrome extension proofreads as I go so I don’t have to waste time reediting an entire post.

Grammarly catches things bloggers often overlook, such as misspelled words and grammatical errors, which makes it an essential tool for writing professional networking emails.

You can also view the definitions and synonyms for a word with a simple double-click.

Wordhippo is an online thesaurus that lets you search whole phrases for synonyms and antonyms.

Sell a product or service on your blog

Download the WooCommerce WordPress plugin to sell products and services on your blog with no added fees.
